Insulated Chipboard Flooring

We've just launched our new Insulated Chipboard Floorboard! It is manufactured from 18mm moisture resistant P5 chipboard bonded to Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) thermal insulation. XPS is the preferred choice of insulation for this application due to its very high compressive strength and closed cell structure which means it is not affected by moisture associated with concrete floor slabs. The Insulated Chipboard Flooring is suitable for concrete and suspended timber floors in both new build and refurbishments and eliminates the need to raise existing floors. Installation is quick and simple with the boards interlocking to give a smooth even surface, ready for a floor finish of choice. The boards are available in any thickness from 28mm-183mm to meet exact door thresholds or specific u-value requirements. We're also strong believers that our customers should not be forced to buy more than what they actually require. For that reason we have no minimum order volume and you can order to the nearest board! download data sheet

FOAMtech PIR launch

We are now able to offer our customers a complete range of thicknesses (20-100mm) of Polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam to suit any application and volume requirements. FOAMtech PIR boards are of particular benefit where insurance companies require that the insulation within a curtain walling system achieves a higher fire performance. Our product has been tested at Warringtonfire and achieved a Class 1 Surface Spread of Flame (BS 476: Part 7: 1997). Another advantage in using FOAMtech PIR is that clients can avoid the handling and weight problems associated with using fibrous insulation products.

FOAMtech is the official sales partner of BASF in the UK for sales  of its Styrodur® C range of insulation products.

Styrodur® C conforms to building standards  all over Europe and fulfills the demands of different climatic conditions. Styrodur® C is environmentally friendly: it is free of ozone-depleting CFC, HCFC and HFC and achieves a Global Warming Potential (GWP) value of one.

Styrodur® C insulation is therefore not only green in appearance but in its credentials and when used in the construction of new homes will ensure that the required credit is achieved as per the Code of Sustainable homes which in April 2007 replaced Ecohomes for the assessment of new housing in England.

The Code for Sustainable homes provides a comprehensive measure of the sustainability of new homes, ensuring that sustainable homes deliver real improvements in key areas such as carbon dixide emissions and water use. The Government's ambition for the Code is that it becomes the single national standard for the design and construction of sustainable homes, and that it drives improvements in home building practice.
